Mentorship

Learning from people
who are still trading.

The useful part of a mentor is not being told what to buy. It is watching somebody decide, and hearing why. That is what the rooms are for.

What it actually is

A desk that shows its working.

Every trade idea is posted by the person taking it, with the entry, the stop, the target and the reasoning attached. You are not handed a conclusion, you are shown how one was reached.

J

Jake

Lead trader

Gold, with the full breakdown: entry zone, stop and targets, posted before price gets there.

G

Giuseppe

Asia and London sessions

Overnight gold setups, posted and managed into the London session.

C

Calun

Intraday and education

Ideas held through the day, taught as he takes them, with breakdowns and reviews after.

Where the teaching happens

Seven rooms, all of them included.

One of them exists purely to explain the reasoning behind a setup, and another is where the intraday trader teaches as he takes them.

Somebody near you

A person, not a helpdesk.

Echelon runs through introducing brokers, each running their own room. Going through one near you means the person helping you set up is awake when you are, and is somebody you can actually ask.

What this is not
  • A paid course. There is nothing to buy and no tier to upgrade to.
  • One to one coaching on a schedule. Nobody is assigned to you for an hour a week.
  • A signals service you follow blindly. Every idea is posted with the reasoning, which is the point of it.
  • A promise that you will make money. Most people who trade lose money, and no mentor changes that arithmetic.

Membership costs nothing and Echelon charges no fee. Access needs a live trading account, opened through Echelon and funded, and the money stays in your own account in your own name.

Before you commit to anyone

Questions worth asking a mentor.

Of us, or of anybody else offering to teach you to trade. The answers tell you more than the marketing does.

  • Do they still trade, and can you see the reasoning behind their positions rather than just the outcomes?
  • Are losing trades shown as well as winning ones? A record with no losing months is not a record.
  • What does it cost, and what are they paid if you sign up to something?
  • Is the education about process and risk, or about entries? Entries are the part that matters least.
  • Can you speak to somebody who has been through it, rather than reading a testimonial?
  • What happens if it is not for you? Anything hard to leave is worth being slower to join.

Trading carries risk and most people who trade lose money. Nothing here is personal advice and no result is a promise of a future one. Read the risk disclosure before opening an account.
